About

This site is to follow and support the Miami Hurricanes tennis teams and follow college tennis in general through the tennis season. The Hurricanes men’s team has a storied career. They have finished as runner-up in the NCAA Championships twice, they have a NCAA-record 137 dual match winning streak that may never be broken, they have 43 NCAA appearances and several college singles and doubles champions. The Hurricanes women have finished as runner-up in the NCAA tournament as recently as 2006 and won their first ACC Championship in 2013. The men look to bounce back up the rankings after a few sub-par seasons, and the women will be trying to break into the Final Four of the NCAA Championships after finishing in the Elite Eight for five consecutive years. This site will also follow Former Hurricane Michael Russell as he plays on the pro tour and Tomas Berdych, who is coached by former Cane and All-American Daniel Vallerdu.

Yours truly has been a fan of Miami sports and especially Hurricanes tennis for many years. After playing tennis in high school, I fell away from the game for a few years until the school where I teach asked me to start up a tennis club. As a player, as a coach and as a fan, I love the sport, love following the professional tours (all-time favorite player was Mats Wilander) and of course love to follow the Hurricanes tennis teams and look forward to the day when they win that elusive national championship Go Canes and Go U!
